Great bar ! Second time at EMRTC, bartenders were the best, can't remember their names. Got there on a Sunday, went right there after checking in, really good beers. Went back for more mid-week, same bartender, talked some more, drank some too ! Another course at NMT in January, back to the Cap... I Love this Place !

Stopped for a beer. This place has the downtown feeling of a bar. Tall ceilings good atmosphere and great outdoor hang out area. IPA traditional one, great !

Great to see them brewing their own beer, along with many guest taps. The Socorro Dog makes my all-time top 10 dogs - it rivals the best I've ever had in NYC, Chicago, etc.

Oldest saloon in New Mexico with their own brewery On the plaza in Socorro. Have their own brews which did not disappoint. Friendly staff

We are back in town and once again visiting The Cap! Always a fun time with good beer and great service, thanks to Hazel! Even though things got very busy she managed things professionally and efficiently. She was so smooth she almost made things look easy. This place was a big part of our past and we are glad it is now part of our present. We hope the Cap continues to be a big part of Socorro as it has always been.

This place is a gem. An old classic bar, good selection of house brewed but also guest taps. The pizza was really good. They had the football game on and a good crowd. The service was phenomenal - very friendly people.

My go-to place at night in Socorro. An always cool crowd and friendly staff set in an old, beautiful bar. The outside patio is a charmer in warm weather. UPDATE: Oct.26.2024: Stopped in again for a World Series watch. Foodwise, I had a delicious Socorro Dog. A bit spicy-hot, however so tasty and huge that it filled me up and went perfectly with some brew. Great soundtrack, cool wait staff, wonderful ambiance.

Functions as a café in the morning! Solid coffee (would recommend trying the butterscotch), plentiful and atmospheric seating both inside and outside, relaxed environment, and a selection of pastries (includes croissants, danishes, and/or pies) make it a great place to slow down and enjoy a free morning. They keep flyers up for events at the bar and around Socorro, which I've found helpful for getting more involved in the community. All the coffee places in town have something to their credit, but this is my favorite overall!

This was a phenomenal spot. The inside looked like it hadn't been updated, which gave the bar a unique feel to it. The juke box was a great thing to have there. Music selection was great. The bartenders turned it up so we could enjoy it. Their was a pool table that entertained us for a few hours. The beer selection was very good in my opinion. Many types of beer I hadn't had before and I enjoyed all of them! Will gladly go back!!

Saloon style bar and grill with a good vibe and great location in the square and outdoor area. Simple menu with some good brewery drafts. Of course a green chile lager which was great and a strong chocolate stout great. Nice simple food menu. Also a pool table. A couple cool drink specials. Bottom of the bottle for $6 and a good tamarindo shot for $5.
